Stripe automatically retries the payment. You will receive an email with a link to update your payment details. Access remains briefly available until the issue is resolved.
Yes. Trick names, scripts and notes are stored encrypted in the database. Only you have access to your content.
Encryption is based on a two-key system: a random master key (MEK) encrypts your data with AES-256-GCM. This MEK is secured with a key derived from your password (PBKDF2, 100,000 iterations) — your password never leaves your device. When logging in, the MEK is decrypted and securely stored in the browser so you can read your content.
When activating encryption, you receive a one-time recovery code. This is independent of your password and additionally secures your master key. If you reset your password, you can use this code to restore your encrypted data and set a new password. Without the code, encrypted content cannot be recovered after a password reset — so it should be stored safely.
Yes. Under Settings → Security you can deactivate encryption at any time. All stored content will be automatically decrypted so you can read it without a password.
Yes. After cancellation your account switches to read-only mode — all tricks, shows and scripts remain visible. Editing, creating new items and PDF export are only available again after resubscription.
Yes. Under Settings → Data you can download a complete backup of your tricks and shows as a file at any time.
Yes. Magician's Kit is web-based and works on any device with a browser — desktop, tablet and smartphone.
